Post Chinese New Year specials - Family gatherings, company buffet dinners and reunion parties were just some of the orders we got during the New Year of the Tiger!

Hey food lovers,

We in Ros Catering Services would like to take this opportunity to wish all our friends, clients and partners a Happy and Prosperous Year of the TIGER! May all your dreams be fulfilled in this joyous year ahead.

We also would like to take this opportunity to announce that we will be closed from the 13th of February until the 16th of February 2010. Our business will only resume on the following day, which is on the 17th of February 2010. We apologized for any inconvenience caused. On that note, we will only take catering orders from the 17th of February 2010 onwards.

Nevertheless, if you are going to organize any reunion dinner or gathering after the 16th of February, don't forget us! Allow Ros Catering to be the missing puzzle in your event.

-Nasi Lemak With Mutton Rendang-

Where do you go if you would like to have a good, hot plate of Nasi Lemak?

Changi? Boon Lay? New Upper Changi Road? Well, these would be the expected answers on many Singaporean minds.

What's the difference between the Nasi Lemak in Changi, and the ones served in Boon Lay and New Upper Changi Road? Nothing! Same ikan billis, with an egg, fried fish and a piece of chicken wing. You can also add some other dishes on top of it. So what is it that makes them better and more popular then any other stalls that serves Nasi Lemak. Their service? Maybe. Their sambal? That could be a possibility. Other then that, I personally think that it is the same.

Here's where we would like to be different. Our NASI LEMAK that goes for only $3, allows you to get Ikan Billis, 2 Fried Fish, an egg as well as a piece of Fried Chicken Wing. What's more, we will add in Mutton Rendang into your Nasi Lemak.

You may be wondering why on earth would we want a mutton rendang in the Nasi Lemak. Well, you will know when you come and visit us! (Click here for directions) Don't come alone. Bring your family and friends.

Highlights from this month's issue:

"Rendang is a dish which originated from the Minangkabau ethnic group of Indonesia,and is now commonly served across the country.One of the characteristic foods of Minangkabau culture, it is served at ceremonial occasions and to honour guests.Also popular in Malaysia and Singapore, rendang is traditionally prepared by the Malay community during festive occasions. Though rendang is sometimes described as being like a curry, and the name is sometimes applied to curried meat dishes in Malaysia, authentic rendang is nothing like a curry..."
